PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a MEETING of the Portobello Road Board will be held at the Road Board’s Office, Portobello, on THURSDAY, the sth day of November, 1925, at the hour of 2 p.m., for the of CONFIRMING the following RESOLUTION, which was passed at a Special Meeting of the Road Board held on the Ist day of October, 1925: That in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in it by any Statute or Statute®, the Portobello Road Board ’ hereby resolves to Make, by Sopecial Order, By-law No. VIII, 1925, as contained in the draft now produced. By-law No. VIII, 1525,_ therein referred to contains clauses regarding:— 1. Granting of licenses in respect of carriages, carta, and motor vehicles plying for hire within the Portobello Road District for the carriage of goods or passengers and scale of fees therefor. 2. Motor stands for licensed vehicles and use thereof, rate of speed at stated places on the Portobello road, and as to procedure to be adopted while driving motor vehicles towards Dunedin between sunset and sunrise when passing other vehicles on the road.
