At the present time the Dunedin Public Hospital is dealing with several cases of diphtheria, two of which were admitted during last week. Returns available yesterday show that there are now 10 diphtheria patients in the Hospital, four having been discharged last week. Other statistics for the week are as follow :—Scarlet fever, one patient remaining; infantile paralysis, one patient remaining; pneumonia, one patient remaining. The total infectious disease cases dealt with during the week were as follow Admitted, 2 ; discharged, 4; remaining. IS.
