TAMPERING WITH ENGINE ALLEGED. Pr«M Association—By Telegraph—Copyriitav BUENOS AIRES, September 22. It is reported from Juuin that the stationmaster there discovered that the engine which was chosen to pull the Prince of Wales’s train, had been tampered with. The cylinders were opened and pieces of metal inserted in such a way that when the brakes were used the escape of steam would have been liarapored. The report is not confirmed. —A. and N.Z. Cable.

FAREWELL TO ARGENTINA. BUENOS AIRES, September 23. (Received September 24, at 11.50 p.m.) The Prince o' Wales bade farewell to Buenos Aires. There were great crowds at the station to see him off for Ohapad Malal. He will embark on the Repulse and sail on Sunday morning.—Reuter.
