DECREASE OF IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 11. . The following are the British trade figures for August: The imports decreased by £10,453,000, and the exports decreased by £5,250,000. Re-exports increased by £4,529,000. The principal decreases were: Imports grain and flour, £3,989,000; wood and timber, £1,184,000; silk, £1,674,000. Exports, coal, £2,572,000, cotton yams, £1,033,000; woollen worsted yams £1,207,000; vehicles, £1,501,000. The chief increases were iraoorts, rubbers, £2,619,000; re-exports, cotton, £1,002,000; wool £1,488,000.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
