GOITRE IN CHILDREN Serious Position in New Zealand Disclosed by Recent investigation* Only in recent year* has the prevalence of Goitre caused alarm, but it is now generally recognised bow seriously it undermines tbe entire health of the body. In growing children, it frequently results in physical under-develop-ment or deformity, and mental dullness often verging on imbecility. In New Zealand, the position is becoming most serious. Out of 20.000 school children recently medically examined, no less than 3.000 were found suffering from Goitre. New Zealand specialists have proved that Goitre is due to a deficiency of lodine in the system, and that when the normal lodine content of the body is restored, the goitrous conditions gradually disappear, and normal health of mind and body is restored. Many eminent doctors in England and America have secured excellent results with lodex in treating Goitre. The method is to rub a little lodex into any part of the body, night and morning, for a short period. lodex contains 5 per cent. lodine, and is rapidly absorbed by the skin, the lodine content being carried into the system and the deficiency of this vital element is gradually made good. If you or your children suffer with Goitre, just try a course of lodex for a couple of weeks. You will soon notice a marked reduction in size, and will be encouraged to continue the treatment until the swelling is entirely gone. lodex does not stain, irritate or blister, and costs only 2/- at all Chemists.
