PRINCESS THEATRE.
Phil Smith’s Musical Comedy Company haa been a groat attraction at the Princess Theatre ever since its season opened, and “A Hot Night,” the current revue, has proved a good draw all this week. In this rovuo Phil Smith plays the part of a magistrate, and, seeking respite from his labours on the Bench, ho embarks on a night out, with disastrous results, as he finds himself next morning dealing magisterially with two delinquents—his wife and sister-in-law, who had boon arrested during a police raid on a cabaret. His, position is all the more awkward as he himself narrowly escaped arrest in the same establishment. The dancing of the' Smiling Six is a feature of the production. The purely vaudeville half of the programme is also of exceptional merit, “turns” being given bv Vivian and Dunn (in “Bits of Vaudeville”), David and Queenie Kaili fwith th.j steel guitar), Walter Vernon (ventriloquist), Ernest Pitches (musical comedian), and Castles and Torzillo (tenor and harpist).
