He had Tam Glen as a companion over the last halt-mile. Barn Owl was given an easy half-mile, while a similar task was allotted to Red Kriss. Starmiet and Rivalry separately were given »uselui work on the sand. Sun Up sprinted three furlongs attractively. Glareina and His Majesty dashed over half a mile up the back. Retrospect galloped six furlongs in good style. Veaperua joining in over the last half-mile. Lytup dashed over three furlongs in good style. P. Mason had about five of his team doing useful exercise, included among the number being Chignon, Goldspear, and Coupon. Tarleton indulged in a sprint over a few furlongs, moving well. Gay and Good moved attractively in a sprint over half a mile. Boadieea galloped seven furlongs. She was pickd up by Solfrite over the last five furlongs, and they finished up a working gallop practically on termsi • Tilf and Goldstep were associated in a working gallop over five furlongs, moving freely throughout. Goldtown was given a useful gallop over five furlongs. Evador and Grim Joke worked over about a mile, but the time was only fair. Boughleen Dliouu and Irish were not out against time while galloping over six furlongs. Fabrinade displayed a useful turn of speed in a sprint up the back over three furlongs. Miss Minerva galloped half a mile, but was not asked to do her best. Castellan bowled along freely in a working gallop over six. furlongs. Horatius easily beat Rigel in a working gallop over five furlongs in fair time. Winkie’s Best was not extended while sprinting five furlongs. Kukume got to the end of six furlongs in fair time. Sunny Loch and Knooklyn finished 1 practically on terms at the conclusion of a gallop run over five furlongs in useful time. Frenchman was given strong work over a couple of circuits on the sand. Cashman strode out freely in a working gallop over about seven furlongs. Gay Life dashed over five furlongs in good style. Forgery sprinted about two furlongs. Xigerland (W. Scobie) 9nd Charlatan (A. Peart) were responsible for one of the finest exhibitions over the schooling fences that -has been seen at Biccarton for a long time. Starting off at the brush at the top of the straight, and going once round again, taking seven fences in all, both horses finished abreast. Charlatan’s showing was a wonderful improvement on any of his previous essays over the schooling fences. Others to work were Windshield, En Route, Sartist, Chickwheat, and Waterlow. W. Hobbs sprinted a couple of juveniles, J. M’Comhe sending Credit along with them. All three moved attractively, E.
