The meeting 1 , of the Otago Land Board, which, was brought to a close yesterday, wan attended by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Mr It. S. Galbraith (chairman), and. Messrs Jaa. Smith, T. A. Munro, C. J. ludcr, and Geo. Livingstone. . The following business was dealt with; APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. The survey of the sections 52, 53, 51, and 55, Mock 11, Bannockburn district, having been completed, the board was asked to consider the applications of AVm. Crabbe, John Begg Crabbe, George Crabbe, and Thomas Alfred Crabbe for renewable lease- I '. solved to grant Win. Crabbe’s application at capital value of £3O, J. B Cra-bbe’a at £75, George Crabbc's at £7O, and T. A. Crabbe s at £l2O. Leases to date and rent to commence on July 1, 1925; area to bo fenced without coat to the adjoining runholder, pay meut to he made of valuation of fencing on original boundary of run. William Fraser applied for a lease over a small area of hind in the town of Kurow, lately l held by J. A. Greer uuuer license, —Refused. J, Malmancho applied for a lease over a small area of laud in the town of *Kurow, lately 7 held by J. A. Greer under grazing license. —Year to year license granted at annual rental of XUs. li T. Sadd applied for reconsideration of D. O’Bien’s application to puchase sections 210 and 211 a, block IV, Papakaio S.D., containing 11a 37p.—Held over till next meeting. Messrs Bell and Mathoson applied for a licence over an area of 80 acres adjoining and fenced in with their rune 161 and 11a. — Area to bo included in new license of runs without increase of rental. Andrew Christian Ivorsen applied to select on renewable lease, section 95, block X, Leaning llock district; areas 56a 2r 04p.— Granted. John Lothian applied to select on renewable lease section 05, block X, Leaning Rock district. —Declined. Alfred Carter Broad (per Messrs Adams Bros.) applied to purchase part of Crown land fronting section 77, block XJIX, town of Dunedin, containing 18.4 poles.—Granted at price of £2O. Thus, W. Kewbold applied to purchase an area of about 2 acres at Tomahawk, b<dv/een part section 25, block VII, Otago Peninsula district and the Tomahawk road.—Referred lo held inspector'for report. Wm. i£. Robinson applies for a grazing license over two areas opposite sections 15-J-7, block 11, town of Berwick. —Year to year license under section 147, of Land Act, 1924, granted at annual rental of 15s. Andrew Barr applied for an occupation lease over an area of 100 acres in block Tuapeka Fast district, including part run 494.—Declined as runholdor objects to surrender the area. John M. Rose applied to lease a email area on river bank opposite section 10, block VII, Tuapeka Fast S.D. — Declined. The Secretary of the Havelock Commonage Committee applied for the issue of a fresh license over the commonage. —Miscellaneous license No. 23G0 cancelled from September 25, 1925. Fresh license from September 26, 1925, granted .-vor the commonage at an annual rental of £2 lOe. James Logan applied for a grazing license over sections 82 and 113, block VTII, GlenWaru district; area 14a Or 21p.—Year to year license under section 147 of Land Act, 1924, granted at an annual rental of £l. C. S. The disposal of section 13s, Wairuna Settlement, was again submitted for consideration. —Suggestion of head office adopted that separate leases bo issued; siich leases (renewable leases) to be held in conjunction with leases of sections 145 and 155, rcspecboard was requested to fix the date of loiso of section ss, Kelso Settlement, granted to C. Bigwood applied for the issue of a fresh license over an area of 12 poles in the town of Hull, held by her under miscellaneous license No. 3001.—Fresh license to be issued. David Young applied for a fresh license over section 10a, block 111, Skippers Creek S.D., and unoccupied Crown lands between run 34 and Shotovcr River, in lieu oi miscellaneous license No. 2779, which has been lost.—Fresh license to bo issued. SURRENDER OF LEASE. Mrs C. Bolton, holder of section 19, block 51 town of Hampden, under Education Reserve lease, applied to surrender the said lease. —Surrender accepted, and field inspector instructed to report for rcoffering. CANCELLATION OF LICENSE. The area hold under miscellaneous license No. 2531 has been proclaimed a permanent State forest. The board was asked to cancel the license. —License cancelled as from August 31, 1925. y Joseph B. APPLICATION FOE GRAZING LICENSE. Charles Donald applied for a grazing license over part section 23, block VI, Maniototo district; area 11a 3r 4p.—-Yearly license granted at annual rental of £2 10s. TEVIOT SETTLEMENT. Tho board decided to inspect land in Benger district, which is to bo allotted as homestead sites for existing holdings on Teviot Settlement.
