AN AMERICAN’S PROPOSAL CONSCRIPTION OF PROFITS. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, July 7. (Received July 8, at 8 p.m.) Mr Bernard Baruch, formerly chairman of tho War Industries Board, lias trivon 250,000 dollars for research for a method to remove the profits from wax through the conscription of wealth. The fund will bo administered by tho Walter Hmes Page School of International Relations connected with the Johns Hopkins University. Mr Baruch has for long advocated Ihe conscription of wealth and industry during war-time as a deterrent to the activities of jingoes in peace-time. He believes that the measure will be a powerful agency in preventing war. The Pago School, for the purpose of research into causes, was founded in memory of the United States Ambassador to England during- the war.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
