SYSTEM OE EMPLOYMENT. A STRIKE DECLARED. (Per United Press Association.) WESTPORT, June 22. The Millerton correspondent of the West, port News telegraphs: “At a special meeting of the Millerton Miners’ Union a discussion arose concerning employment. The men were awaiting work in the colliery. The union demands a more equitable selection when employment is available, and wants all the men to be put on in their turn in the order of application. The local management is employing men suitable frith e form of work that is required, and, as a consequence, trouble has arisen. It was decided that the men should remain idle, until the mamij -r ceased to differentiate from the method of selection of men suggested by the union, anti a strike has now been declared. ’’
