CHRISTCHURCH ART UNION.

(Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 22.

The Art Union promoted by the Canterbury Cricket and Lawn Tennis Association was drawn to-night, the first six prizes being won as follows:—£1000 F. Sandford, Christchurch; £500.1. Aitchison, Hamilton; £2OO P. Maugher, Christchurch; £IOO M. G. Hendry, Taupo; £IOO C. H. Cooper, Annat; £IOO N. Jameson, {Auckland. Then; were 180 other prizes ranging from £SO to £5. The Art Union netted about, £9OOO to each association. The lawn tennis body will devote its share to equipping Wilding Park, and the cricket body to providing coaches.
