THE NEW ZEALAND AND SOUTH SEAS EXHIBITION.
WOMEN'S SECTION. We all read with interest the action of tho directors of tho Exhibition Company at thoir mooting la-st week in deciding to build a fine creche for the use of visitors to the Exhibition. The Women's Christian Temperance Union has offered to equip and furnish this building, and its members will be in attendance every day to give mothers with children a chance of seeing the Exhibition, happy in the knowle'dgo that thoir children will bo well cared for. The offer of tho union has been accepted by the" directors, and tho ladies may feel assured of our whole-hearted support and gratified appreciation. BRIDGE DRIVE. At the most enjoyable bridgre drive, which was given in tho Otago Women's Club last Thursday evening by Mrs A. James, in aid of the women's section at the Exhibition, each player paid half-a-crown, with the result that not only was a most delightful and pleasant evening spent by the guests, but tho women's section benefited to the amount of £ll. Mrs James is to be congratulated on being the first to set the ball a-rolling, as several similar evenings are being planned for the same purpose. A lady, who was unable to attend Mrs James's party, called at tho office of the women's section and presenter! 10s, which she and three of her friends had contributed at a quiet game of bridge on the same evening. Conducted in a small, or a large way. a bridge' party is a very pleasant and easv way of helping the funds of the women's section. SCHEDULES.
The schedules issued by the Special Exhibits Committee of the women’s section are now available, and may be obtained on personal application at the Exhibition office of the section, or by letter to Miss Bcgg.
