MINING.
The following report of progress in the Moanataiari mine has come to hand:—"in the Cambria sectiQn the east crosscut haa been advanced sft, a total of 144 ft, The country is of a very favourable description; The No, 9 leader hag been advanced hill* wards 3ft. The country is a little milder* No quartz has been broken. Work has been delayed on account of a breakdown of toe compressor. Kepairs to the main road, and level have been carried out.
