A PRISONER ESCAPES.
SEARCH PARTIES OUT. (Per United Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, dune 11. A prisoner named Walter Battorbeo. sening a sentence of 11 years for sexual offences, escaped from the New Plymouth Prison this afternoon, and is being looked for by search parties to-night. Baitorboe, who was one of a gang working near the gaol, was sent to the prison to procure implements, and Used the opportunity to escape.
