HEROISM OF INJURED. SPLENDID RELIEF WORK. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. BRISBANE, Juno 11. Advice received from Gympic states that all tho injured in the train smash spent a comfortable night. Tho survivors of the disaster tell of the heroism of tho injured, and praise the bravery of the rescuers. Dr Stopford (Homo Secretary) who was a passenger to Brisbane on" tbo Rockhampton mail, wliich was waiting a, few miles along tho line for the ill-fated train to pass, expressed tlic opinion that no praise* for the work of tho rescuers could be too great. Tho doctors, railway officials, ambulance men, nurses, hospital authorities, and volunteers, both men and women, discarded every consideration but that of caring for the injured. Dr Stopford also stated that tho general behaviour of tho injured was magnificent. The fortitude of some of them was amazing. FUNERAL OF THE VICTIMS. BRISBANE, Juno 11.
