STEWARDESS’S LUCKY FIND. While walking up a. railway platform at Dover a stewardess from a cross-Channel boat thought she saw some white powder on the ground. A second glance showed her it was a string of pearls. She told the guard of the train, and on arrival in London a gentleman reported that his wife had lost her pearls. The guard informed him that they had been picked up at Dover. The value is stated to be £IOOO. and the finder was rewarded with a substantial cheque.
