FOREIGNERS IN TOKIO

DECREE AGAINST DANCING. EXPRESSION OF ULTRANATIONALISM. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright, TOKIO, June 7. A police order forbids foreigners from dancing in cafes, tea rooms, and elsewhere, except in licensed halls and private homes, where dancing is permissible until 10 o’clock at night only. The Imperial Hotel, where the majority of foreigners hold a weekly dance, vainly protested. The Embassies and Legations are not affected. The order is due to pressure by the reactionaries objecting to anything foreign.—Sydney Sun Cable.
