Now that the Bawhi murder trial lias ended the Bombay press is insistently repeating its demand for action against the powerful influence behind the conspirators, which influence is described as “base, cowardly, and criiica!.’’ 'I he Maharajah of Indore, of course, is meant. The press demands that, the Viceroy, Lord Heading, should devote his personal attention to the affair. Meanwhile, it is staled, Mumtaz, the Mahornmenuan Princess, tne heroine of die sordid affair, is believed lo be submitting a petition to the Viceroy asking for a further and full investigation of the matter.
