The Sussex completed discharging her Eastern cargo on Saturday afternoon, and sailed for Sydney, where she will be docked for cleaning and painting. She will afterwards go to Newcastle to load coal for the East. The vessel will subsequently proceed to Calcutta to load again for New Zealand ports. The Storm sailed late on Saturday night for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Wanganui. The Federal Line steamer Hertford arrived at Port Chalmers on Saturday morning from Bluff to load frozen meat and general cargo for West of England ports. She is to sail • to-morrow evening for Timaru and northern pcxte to complete loading. The Progress is due at Dunedin on Juno 15 ,'irom northern porta to load a full cargo of tiles for, Wellington and Wanganui. The Breeze is duo here to-day from Wellington direct to load. She is listed to sail tonight for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Pieton. and Wanganui. The Gale is now due at Dunedin on Thursday from Lyttelton to’load for Timaru, Lytte'lon, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Canadian Traveller, which loaded products at several New Zealand ports, _ left Auckland on Friday evening for New York, Boston, and Montreal. The Huddart-Parker liner Ulimaroa left Sydney on Friday afternoon for Auckland with passengers, mails, and cargo. She js due at the northern port to-morrow, and is scheduled to sail on Friday next on the return voyage. Cargo discharged from the Moeraki at Auckland last week included transhipments ex the following steamers;—St. Albans, Port Bowen, Manaai, Palermo, Tango Maru, Cooma, Katoomba, Benalla, Time, Goulburn, Mooltan, Cathay, Kowarra. Mr C. G. Peacock, assistant purser on the Wahine, has signed off the vessel’s articles, and Mr G. Dickson has joined the vessel in his stead. The Corinthic is scheduled to leave Wellington on June 11 for Southampton and London, vja Panama. The Pakeha is timed to sail from Wellington on June 25 for London, via Montevideo and Toneriffe. To commence loading in New Zealand for England, the Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Kumara is due at Oamaru from Australia on June 24. The vessel is to bo despatched finally from Wellington on July 8 for London, via Panama. The three-masted schooner Louis Theriault ia loading a cargo of poles at Newcastle for Kopu. ’ The Now Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tekoa, which is due at Auckland from London about Juno 19, will also discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, and Now Plymouth. Afterwards the vessel will load at southern porta for London, and she will return to Auckland towards the end of July to complete loading. The Shaw. Savill, and Albion Line steamer Kia Ora was due at .Sydney about May 29 from Glasgow and Liverpool. After discharge in Australia the vessel will proceed to Auckland about Juno 19 to commence loading in New Zealand for London. She ia to bo despatched finally from Bluff on July 4, via Montevideo and Toneriffe. WAIHEMO PROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company advises that the Waihemo, which was delayed at Napier last week owing to the heavy sea interfering with discharging operations, was expected to sail on Saturday for Lyttelton and Dunedin to continue discharging cargo from Pacific Coast ports. She is due here on Thursday, and will sail about the end of this week for New Plymouth and Sydney to complete discharge. NORFOLK FROM LIVERPOOL. The Federal S.N. Company advises that the steamer Norfolk is expected to clear Wellington to-morrow for Lyttelton, thence Dunedin, to complete discharge. , , WAIKAWA LOADS FOR BORNEO. A charter has been arranged for the Union Company’s steamer Waikawa to loa>d a full cargo at Newcastle this month for discharge at Tandjong, Brick, and Boiawan, Borneo. ROTORUA DUE ON WEDNESDAY. The Now Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rotorua is to leave Timaru tomorrow evening for Port Chalmers, where ahe should arrive on Wednesday morning. The vessel will discharge the remainder of her general cargo from London and loud frozen meat, dairy produce and other products at Port Chalmers. She will sail about the end of this week for Wellington to complete loading for England. R.M.M.S. AORANGI’S SMART RUN. A smart run was made by the Union Company’s motor liner Aorangi in her last trip from Auckland on May 13, a day late, but made up the lost time, arriving at Vancouver at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, her scheduled date. The Aorangi left Vancouver on June 3 on the return voyage, and ia due back at Auckland on June 21. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. local agents for the A. and A. Line, advice that the steamer City of Bombay is scheduled to leave New York on July 10 with cargo for discharge at Auckland. Wellington Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. She will be followed by tho steamer Kosmo, which ia scheduled to sail from New York on July 25 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. OIL FROM SINGAPORE. Advice has been received that the Dutch tnotor ship Hermes has been fixed to load a cargo of case oil at Singapore for discharge at New Zealand ports. She ia expected to sail about Juno 20. The Hermes is a vessel of 2768 tons, and was built during 1914. ARRIVALS ,AT LONDON. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company has been notified by cablegram that tho Maimoa arrived at London on June 2 from Lyttelton. The vsstel left Lyttelton on April 20. The Matakana arrived at London on June 1 from Ws’lington. The vessel sailed from Wellington on April 21. The Tairoa arrived at London on June X from Auckland. The vessel left the northern port on April 15. , SUVA. LINKED WITH AMERICA. Long ignored by most of the steamship lines operating between San Francisco and Sydney, Suva, the principal port of Fiji, is now included as a port of call by the Oceanic Steamship Company of San Francisco. A 21-day passenger mail, and freight service will be afforded the islands by tne liners Sonoma, Ventura, and Sierra, all of which were recently reconditioned. Tho Ventura, which was scheduled to leave Sydney on June 3, will inaugurate the service from the Australian side. This new port of call will not interfere with the present schedule of liners or entail apy increase in the time occupied. It is estimated that passenger traffic through San Francisco will •ba greatly increased. NEW STEAMER HEBBXJRN ARRIVES. An arrival at Dunedin on Saturday morning was the Huddart-Parker Company’s new cargo steamer Hebburn, from New York, via Panama, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Timaru. The vessel, which is under charter to the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, was berthed at the Rattray street wharf, where the remainder of her general American cargo will be discharged. . Captain C. G. Neale is in command of the vessel, and he has with him the following officers: —Chief, Mr J. Baynham; second, Mr A. Lunt; third. Mr E. M. Swinbanks, chief engineer, Mr D. C. Rutherford; second, Mr J. Dick; third. Mr Houston; fourth, Mr G. Boyes; wireless operator, Mr C. S. Howe; chief steward, Mr Vowden. The Hebburn is. expected to sail this afternoon for Sydney, where ahe will be delivered to her owners. , She will be employed in the Australian coastal trade. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
