HOCKEY.

TECHNICAL OLD BOYS v. ALBANY. The match between Technical Old Boys and Albany, played on Oval No. 1, provided some interesting play. Technical had a strong team and had the upper hand most o£ the time. Albany lacked combination. Albany attacked from the bully, but Technical cleared and transferred play to the other end, where Twoso (Albany goalie) made a good save. Albany pressed hard on the Technical goal, and Davys cleared twice .in quick succession. Technical then attacked. Albany conceded three corners, which were cleared. Give and take play followed, and from good combined ptay Petherick scored for Technical. Play continued to be very even, and half-time was called with tho scores; Technical 1, Albany 0. Prom the bully in the second spell Technical took tho upper hand and first Petherick and then Johnston found tho net, Thia reverse seemed to stimulate the Albany players, and they set up a series of attacks, which ended in Brown goaling witli a good shot. Give and take play followed until Technical set up a strong attack, and Johnston goaled with a liiiot that gave Twose no chance.. The game ended in neutral territory. Scores: Technical Old Boys 4 Albany 1 Messrs Hewitt and Woodfield controlled the game. SECOND GRADE.
