SYDNEY. June 3. (Received June 3, at 8.10 p.m.) Australia’s Davis Cup representatives. C„ L. Patterson and J. 11. Hawkes will sail by the Niagara to-morrow. Both expressed the opinion that Australia had a splendid chance ot regaining the cup. Hawkes said it was the strongest team (h©v had had for years, and the prospects wore brighter than they bid been since America won the cup.
INTER-UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT. LONDON, June 2. (Received June 3, at 8.40 p.ni.) In the inter-university Lawn tennis tournament. Cambridge defeated Oxford by 11 matches to 10. The names were unusually lon#. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
