At a meeting of B preference shareholders of the Farmers' Union Trading Company the business was the. consideration of the writing down of 6s a share on the B preference shares. The proposal was carried by an overwhelming majority, the voting being; For writing down 36.467, against 535. The voting unit was one .share. Both tho A and B preference shareholders have now curried their resolutions, and there seems littlo doubt that the- ordinary shareholder? will take advantage of tho resolutions by affirming the proposition when it comes before them at a general meeting at tho end of the month.
