MISTAKEN IDENTITY

NOT THE “FAMOUS” NEWTON.

SUICIDE IN A TAXI.

LONDON, April 27. Noel Montague Newton, who committed suicide in a London taxi-cab on Sunday night by shooting himself with a revolver, is not the Newton who figured in the case in which Sir Hari Singh was coerced into parting with £150,000, although his name is similar. Newton said to-day: “The coincidence is amazing. My telephone hae been ringing all day, small creditors being frantically interested in my welfare. People owing me money are unconcerned.” ■
