As tho coffin containing tho body of John Lermex, who served in the Royal Irish Fusiliers in the Great War, was being carried into. St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, several Republicans objected to the Union Jack covering the coffin, and tore it off. In order to avert further trouble the military party decided not to restore tho flag.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
