NATIONAL BEEKEEPERS’ ASSOCIATION.
TAIERI BRANCH. The annual meeting of the Taieri branch of the National Beekeepers’ Association was held at Mosgiel on Tuesday evening. The annual report and balance sheet, which showed the branch to be in a healthy and progressive condition, both financially and otherwise, was adopted, and it was resolved to donate £2 2s to the National Association. Considerable time was devoted to a discussion on remits to be forwarded to the annual conference, to be held at Greymouth in June, and it was decided to urge on the conference the advisability of holding the 1926 conference in Dunedin, before the close of the Exhibition. Office-bearers were elected as follows: President, Mr A. Wilson (re-elected); vicepresident, Mr O. R. Wylie; committee— Messrs Thomson, M’Cann, Page, Cairns, and Jenkins; secretary and treasurer, Mr B. Howard (re-elected); auditor, Mr Callick. At the close of the business a social hour was spent. Four new members were elected.
