A dense and enthusiastic crowd heartily cheered King George at the Arc de Triomphe, and a military band played the National Anthem as the King deposited a wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Warrior. The King then stood in silence for a minute, -while tiie band played the "Marseillaise." , The King, after the ceremony, cordiaJly shook hands with Marshal Foch, and General Gouraud, and then drove off amid renewed cheering.—A. and N.Z.
