NEW SOUTH WALES FAVOURS , RETENTION. SYDNEY, April 21. A meeting of the New South Wales Cricket Association expressed itself strongly in favour of the retention of the eight-ball over. Reference was made to Gilligan's recent remarks. It was pointed out that the English captain had no statistics on Ins side. Re himself was not a fast bowler, and Howell was seldom used. The advantage from the slow _ bowler's point of view was beyond question.
