TAIERI EXPANSION LEAGUE.

Last Monday evening the Taieri Expansion League had a very full and profitable meeting. After correspondence was read and free discussion on the subject of numbering houses in the Mosgiel Borough, a committee was appointed to draw up an estimate of the cost and report at next meeting. A committee was appointed for the purpose of drawing up a concise plan of railway matters to place before the Minister of Railways with a view to something definite eventuating. It was resolved to write the Postal Department, through Mr T. K. Sidey. M.P., requesting several grants to bo added to that office in Mosgiel for the convenience of the public, and to cal! for the assistance of the parent body of the league for this and railway matters. A vote of thanks was accorded the Borough Council for the use of the Council Chambers for the league’s meeting. At next meeting arrangements will be made for the annual meeting.
