(Received Fob. 12, at 10.40 p.m.) Judging by the first sjx months’ operation of the new immigration law the chairman of the House Immigration Committee estimates that the total immigration for the current fiscal «tear will be about half the not immigration in the preceding twelve months. Immigration from Mexico lias dropped by 60, and from Canada by more than 38 per cent. Germany is furnishing the greatest number of European immigrants, with the Irish Free State second. The deportations have doubled, and the exodus of aliens to Southern Europe, India, and Asia has been greater by 32,000 than the immigration from those parts.—Reuter.
