THE ROSEDAY CASE.
DISQUALIFICATION OF 12 MONTHS UPHELD. The Dunedin District Committee met last night to continue tho hearing of tho appeal by J. Richardson (owner of Rosoday), D. P. Wilson; jun. (trainer), and A. H. Wilson (jockey) against their disqualification for 12 months by tho Gore Racing Club. Richardson, D. P. Wilson, jun., and A. fL Wilson, and Roseday were disqualified on the ground that Roseday (who won tho Waikaka Handicap on the second day of tho meeting) was not rim on his merits in tho Gore Cup on the first day, when he ran unplaced. The hearing was adjourned from November 5 to enable Air G. Curry, the stipendiary steward at tho meeting, to give evidence. There wore present Alessrs A. C. Hanlon (in the chair), L. C. Hazlett, Peter Miller, W. J. Goughian, W. 11. L. Christie, E H. Lough, and N. O. Potts. After hearing the evidence of Air Curry the committee deliberated, and decided" to approve of the decision of the Gore Racing Club and to dismiss the three appeals. It was also decided that tho deposits of each of £5 lodged by tho appellants should be forfeited.
