HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.

Another versatile performance by the J. C. Williamson Entertainers waa witnessed bv an audience that comfortably filled Hia Majesty’s Theatre last night. Variety is the keynote of the entertainment, and there is not one dull moment throughout the whole performance. Tho audience was hold spellbound with the clever Dickens character impersonations by Mr Bransby Williams. He is supreme in his chosen art The various Dickons characters portrayed by Mr Williams wets masterpieces, and will long be remembered by all who were privileged to be present. The variety was all that one could desire, and was much appreciated. Mr Williams received an ovation, and was called back again and again. A turn of outstanding merit is that given by the Hadji Kadir Arab troupe, file members of which are superb acrobats. Landry and Julls pleased the audience with their fine dancing. Music of a high standard waa represented by Mr George Castles in song, and Signor Torrilla on tho harp. Anno and Louis introduced comedy of an effective nature into their instrumental work. Spencer Ward and Gertrude Long -gave an excellent performance with wit and song of English flavour. Arthur Lucan, eccentric pantomime damo, and Kitty M‘Shane gave a most amusing sketch, which kept tho audience in laughing mood, and A. V. Robinson, Canadian raconteur, quickly won his audience with humorous stories, after which he showed wonderful skill with n mouth organ. A well-balanced orchestra greatly adds to the enjoyment of the entertainment. Tho company will appear twice more—this afternoon in a special matinee, and this evening. There will bo a complete change of programme, and it is announced that Mr Bransby Williams will impersonate this evening any Dickens characters selected by tho audience. This should be a great attraction to lovers of Dickens’s works.
