MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE
YOUNG GIRL MISSING. LAST SEEN IN COURT BUILDINGS. (Peb United Pbess Association.) UOKLAND. October 30. Tim mvMsnoi'" disappearance of a girl named KfVi May Lane, aged 15£ years, from rho Supreme Court building on Wednesday morning is causing great concern to her relatives. The girl was to have been an important witness in a criminal trial from Waihi, but she did not have to give evidence as the accused pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to 12 months' reformative treatment, and on leaving the dock is stated to have called to tne girl: "Good-bye, Ethel." She was considerably affected, and became somewhat hysterical. After leaving the court room the girl was seen by her brother to go into the ladies' waiting room. Since then all trace of her has been lost.
