THE TUMBERUMBA TRAGEDY
ADDITIONAL PARTICULARS. TELE CAUSE A MYSTERY. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 29. (Received Oct. 29, at 8.40 p.m.) The Turn her umba tragedy remains a mystery. The victims are Frederick Wolff, aged 25, and Mrs Turner, aged 24, who is stated to be a widow with two small children. She was acting housekeeper to the Wollf family, with whom she was on the best terms. All the inmates of the house except the two victims left in the morning. When Wolff's younger brother returned in the afternoon he found the woman’s body lying on the bed with two bullet wounds in the head and Wolff’s body on the floor alongside with the top of his head blown off and a rifle between his legs. There is no clue as* to the cause beyond a statement that Wolff was suffering from influenza and was alleged to have been acting a little queerly on the previous day.
