DEATH OF LOEB’S FATHER. VICTIM OF MELANCHOLIA. Piesi Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, October 27. A telegram from Chicago states that Mr Albert Loeb, father of tho youthful murderer, who has been brooding over his son’s fate, died at his residence there. Mr Loeb’s health had been steadily declining. His feelings had, long been torn between grief for his own family and compassion for the family of the victim (a schoolboy named Robert Franks). This induced persistent melancholia, from which ho was unable to recover.—A. and N.Z. Gabla.
