AN AFFABLE ENGLISHMAN

WOMEN IMPOSED UPON. MARRIED AND THEN ROBBED. Pres. Association—By Tekgropb—Copyriscßt MELBOURNE, October 25. (Received Oct. 25, at 9.60 p.m.) A provisional warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man who a few hours after his marriage borrowed £2O from his wife and disappeared . The police allege that he is wanted for previous wife desertions in New South Wales, South Australia, and Victoria. In the last-named case he disappeared after getting his wife’s money. In another case he secured a woman’s money under a promise of marriage, which lie failed to keep. The man is described as an Englishman well educated, fluent, affable, and an ardent churchgoer.
