FAREWELL GOLF -MATCH. (Peb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. October 23. A number of golfers from all over the dominion gathered at the Miramar Links to-day to bid farewell to Viscount Jellicoe, who, with his staff, participated in a game. a’ four-ball bogey handicap resulted as follows: —A. D. S. Duncan and A. E. Mabin (Wellington), 5 up; H. J. Shanks and D. Hartwell (Wellington), 4 up; M. R. Crombie and L. D. Hunt (Wellington), 4 up; H. Horton and A. P. Green (Auckland), 3 up; C. C'. Holmes and S. Sievers (Otaki), 2 up; D. C. Collins and E. Nicholas (Wairarana), 2 up; A. Howard and J. Wallace (Wellington), 2 up; Lord Jellicoe and R,. C. Kirk (Wellington), 1 up; R. O. Chesney and E. E. Rodieson (Hutt), 1 up; L W. H. Grace and E. H. Liddle (Wellington), 1 up; R. G. Hughes and A. Seaweed (Wellington), 1 up. a. After the match Mr E. C. Kirk (president of the New Zealand Council), on behalf of the golfers, wished hia Excellency good-bye. Lord Jellicoe, in a happy speech, said that be looked upon his golfing days in the dominion as the Happiest in his life, as far as recreation was concerned. / Ho regretted to say good-bye to such a fine body of sportsmen.
