The manager of the Glenisla mine reporta. ■ that the winze has been sunk a further 9ft,— H making its total depth 29ft. Lately it has again become nearly vertical, and the lode will have to.be H into again to keep the winze its full yridth,.; H of about 4ft. . *_ , jl The manager cf the Four-in-Hand mine,; H reports es follows;— The second slope on tbs M Cuirassier reef going smith, at No. 1 level v has now been beaten along for a distance. - H of 18ft. The reef has averaged Ift in width, H the filling of v.-luch contains a certain amount, H of mullock. Breaking down took place H ward the end of the week, '• and although H the quartz locks well it is low grade In « value. In the face of the stops _ ■ seams are striking into the reef,should have a beneficial effect.
