HARRIERS.

OAVERSHAM. The Caversham Harriers held a final club run on Saturday from Port Chalmers, a large number taking advantage of the prevailing weather conditions. The hares, Gibbs and O’Kane, led a fine trail up the road over the bridge, across the upper railway lino, then leaving the road it struck up to the summit of the hill overlooking the Port, where an admirable view of the harbour, Maori Kaik, and Hooper’s Inlet on the far side of the Peninsula was obtained. After crossing the golf links, the trail lefi up behind Mt. Moponui, skirting Mt. Misery on to the main road above Waitati and along the road to the top of the hill overlooking Sawyer’s Bay, where it led down on to the level again. A fast run home was commenced along the walking path from Sawyer’s Bay to Port, on which a good pace was obtainable. In a good finish, Tapir arrived home first from Ilethcrington, Eminerson, A. Frye, and Heaton. This final run was by far the longest and most enjoyable of the,season. ST. HILDA. The .St. Hilda Harrier and A.A. Club held its weekly run from the residence of Mr and Mrs P. W. Bennett, Orchard Leigh, Green Island. The pack, numbering some 18 members, under the whistle of Captain Macdonald, followed an excellent trail laid by C. Wills and G. Gibbs, which led down the Brighton road, branching off on to the Green Island beach on reaching the Kaikorai stream bridge, thence striking across country to the cemetery road. In the run home P. W. Bennett was very prominent, this being his first run for over 20 years. His son, Sam, aged nine years, was also out. ANGLICAN. The Anglican Harrier and A.A. Club held its run from the Mornington School as the guests of Mrs and Mr H. W. Reid. There was a numerous field, this being the last pack of the season. The pack loft the schbol under the whistle of Captain Bibby, and cut across Kaikorai Valley-and up oyer Mount Grand; then due soutn, out behind Abbotsford, over some very good country, where some practice at jumping took place. Then the pack swung to the left towards Green Island, where the watercourse was struck, this course being followed as far as the reservoir, which was circled. Then they journeyed on to the Kaikorai Valley road and along Barr street on to Elgin road. A fast sprint home resulted in Ashley being first home, M‘Korn an second, and Ilorder third. PACIFIC. The Pacific Harrier Club held its sprint and field events at Forbury Park. Results: 100 Vards—W. H. B. Hobb (sgyds) 1, A. G Gray (scr) 2. S. Morrison (3iyds) 3. Time, 10 2-ssec. 880 Yards—W. H. B. Gray (28ft Ijin) 2, S. Morrison 3. ST. PATRICK'S. St. Patrick’s Harriers held their sprint events at Forbury Park under ideal weather conditions. Four events were decided. Results : ICO Yards—Robinson (6yds) 1, Dayeis (3yds) 2, Menhenick (7yds) 5. 220 Yards— White (Byds) 1, M’Allon (7yds) 2, Allen (9yds) 3. 440 Yards—Robinson (22yds) 1, White (scr) 2, Bradley (23yds) 3 Long Jump-Walker (handicap 3ft), 18ft, 1; Daveis 6in), 17ft 6in, 3. VICTORIAN TEN-MILE CHAMPIONSHIP. MELBOURNE, September 14. (Received Sept. 14, at 5.5 p.m.) The Victorian Ten Miles Cross-country Championship was won by Kohler in 60mm 57sec. 1
