(Received Sept. 7, at 5.5 p.m.) A communique has been issued by General Hei, who claims that Che-Kiang completely routed General Kiangsn at Hwangtu, 15 miles from Shanghai, and has advanced six miles. He also claims that two entire companies of the crack Sixth Division, personally commanded by Chi, were captured with all their equipment —Reuter. JAPAN PROTECTING HER INTERESTS. TOKIO, September 6. (Received Sept. 7, at 5.5 p.m.) Four destroyers have been ordered to Amoy for the protection of Formosan residents, whom it is reported the Chinese soldiers are ill-treating.—Reuter.
