FLOTATION OF LOCAL LOAN. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, MELBOURNE, September 5. In the House of Representatives the Treasurer (Dr Earle Page) announced a new local loan of £10,500.000. It will carry 6 per cent, at 98J, and will be -ssucd on September 8. This is the only new money which it is proposed to raise during the current financial year. It will be free of State taxation, but it will be subject to Commonwealth income tax.
