THE HENLEY SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir—l wish to deny the allegation made by Mr Wilson nt the Education Board’s meeting which referred to a certain member of Henley School Committee being deaf and dumb. The member is a highly respected resident of the district, and was unanimously elected as a member of the School Committee. It is true he is deaf, but he reads the lips, and is by no means a silent member. If anything requires attention he is always the one to do it.—l uni, etc., Resident. Henley, August 22.
