HIGH BGHOOER' TOURNAMENT. Lovers of football are promised two excellent; matches at Cari.sbrook to-morrow, where the High Schools’ tournament is being played. At: 1..T1 the Timaru and Christchurch High Sellouts will moot, and at -i pin. tile match. Southland High School v. Otago High School will be played. Both matches arc expected to pro-' vide line exhibitions of Rugby, and the play should be fast, and open. These matches are always looked forward to with much interest, and as the ground promises to tie in excellent condition gooil exhibitions of football should be witnessed. PRIMARY SCHOOL LOOTBALL. POSITIONS OF THE TEAMS. A team from the High School defeated the Sehool Representatives by —0 points to on tlie Caledonian Ground yesterday. The High School boys were heavier and faster than the primary schoolboys, Pssher and Rudkin were outstanding players on the High School side. In the second half the representative forwards, led by Honglas. I’.nswell, and Conradi more than held their own. After the game the Otago team elected Trevathaa (Macandrew Road) captain, and Moloney (Arthur Street) vice-captain. Tlie team will travel to Invercargill by the express on Saturday in charge of Mr A. Both sides attempt to play good football, and a good contest should result.
