SOUTH AFRICA DEFEATS HARLEQUINS.
•'aw* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. August 14. Harlequins, in their- second innings, made 213 (Jardine 40, Evans 42). Carter took six wickets for 40. The South Africans, in their second innings, scored 135 for four wickets (Commaille 60), and thus won by six wickets. Carter, who was given the ball at 110, took six successive wickets.
