(Received August 14, at 8.50 p.m.) New Board of Trade regulations which will operate from July 1, 1925, require foreign-going vessels, in addition to lifeboats, to carry buoyant apparatus with accommodation for 25 per cent, of the personnel and also a motor-boat equipped with wireless and a searchlight for every 15 lifeboats. The davits must be capable to turn out against the heaviest list. Each lifeboat in addition to water and biscuits must carry one pound of condensed milk per occupant.
