The trial on a charge of culpable homicide of Lieutenant Joubcrt, whose aeroplane dropped a bomb on a crowd during a review at Kururnan, resulted in the acquittal of the accused, who was exonerated from all blame. Joubcrt stated that the bomb dropped accidentally and unknown to him, and not as the result of any movement by him.— A. and N.Z. Cable.

Whilst a review of commandos was proceeding at Kuruman on May 29 a bomb from an aeroplane fell into the crowd. Four people were killed and 32 were injured.
