O’Neil (West Coast). After a rather crude display, J. Kindley, 9.9 (Otago) won on points from T. Hooper, 9.9 (Canterbury). WELTER-WEIGHT. N. M’Huight, 10.6 (Auckland) knocked out H. Cotter, 10.3 (West Coast) in the first round. After the greatest fight of the evening, in which neither man let up for a second, D. Loveridge, 9.10 (Wellington) defeated D. Pascoe, 9.75 (West Coast), TRAINING COLLEGE TOURNEY. BOXING CONTESTS. (Peb United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, August 11. The Training Colleges’ boxing represents lives met at the Town Hall this afternoon. Wellington defaulted in one contest but took the rubber by three wins to two. The results are as follow: Feather-weight.—Hay (Wellington) beat Butterworth (Auckland). Light-weight.—Gardner (Wellington) beat Barnes (Auckland). Welter-weight.—Hall (Wellington) lost to Cormaok (Auckland). Middle-weight,—Goodall (Wellington) beat Smith (Auckland). Heavy-weight.—Auckland won by default. 1
