Aviators are urging that Italy should undertake the polar flight which Ca-ptain Amundsen has abandoned. Signor Eocatolli, a member of the Chamber of Deputies and a noted aviator, sought permission to do so, but tho Government refused on tho tho ground of expense. It is now seriouslv considering a proposal for Signor I.ocatelii to uso the machines built for Captain Amundsen for a flight from the North of Scotland to Iceland, Greenland, Labrador, and Canada. —A. and N.Z.
