The members of St. Joseph’s Cathedral choir gave a concert at the llenevolent Institution on Wednesday night, when a most enjoyable programme of songs and recitations was given to a very appreciative audience. Mr Porteous, on behalf of the Hospital Board, thanked the choir for its kindness, and expressed the hope that it would not be long before a return visit was given. The programme was brought to a close by the singing of the National Anthem. The following contributed:— “Soldiers’ Chorus,” choir; song, Miss Dillon; song, Mr M. Coughlan ; recitation, Miss A. Holey; s ong, Mr D. Fogarty; duet, Mcsdames L. and F. Woods; song. Miss’ F. Gardner; song, Mr J. Flynn; song. Miss M'Cready; song, Mr T. Hughes; song, Mrs Sandys; quartet, Messrs D. Fogarty, H. Poppelwell, J. D. Woods, and F. Holey; piano duet, Mrs J. D. Woods mid F. Holey ; piano duet, Mrs J. D. Wciods and M- A. Vallis; song, Mr Cassidy; “Good-night,” choir.
