TAIERI EXPANSION LEAGUE.

A social was held under the auspices of the Taieri Expansion League in the Taipri R.S.A. Club-rooms, Mosgicl, on Friday night. Mr Smith presided. Euchre occupied the hulk of the evening, the prizes being won by Miss M'Lood and Mr Wright. A musical and elocutionary programme was supplied by the following:—-Mrs Parata, Miss Hicks, and Messrs Swallow (2). Wallace. and M'Dougall. Mrs Parata made an efficient accompanist. In tho course of the evening tho objects of the league and tho work already accomplished since the formation of the league were detailed. Much satisfaction was expressed with tho progress made, A verse of the National Anthem concluded tho social.
