SEVERAL REMITS CARRIED. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Juno 11. The Farmers’ Conference carried the following remits: That we again emphatically press upon the Ccvernment the necessity for legislation lo enable the farmers to, form agricultural banks. That in view of the early lifting of the moratorium, the Minister in charge of the St.ato Advances Department be Urged to give more prompt replies to the applicants for ioans. That this conference advocates the extension of the franchise to include all stock owners at elections of members of the Meat Control Board. • That this conference favours the ward system of election of the Meat and Dairy Control Boards. That the Government be urged to adopt a more progressive policy of financial advances on farm mortgages by State advances 1 to settlers. That the railway tariff be not used for protective purposes. That the Dairy Control Board send a resume of its meetings to the contributing factories.
